Yeah, I mean the official 1.01 patch (and xp patch based on it). I guess it is integrated. On the other hand I av seen in other patch descriptions, that I have to patch the save file as well, after starting and saving the game. So. What do u think, which is the best (well working) season patch so far (I would be interested in 2008 updates if they r good, but if older ones work better...)? And what exactly have I to do to make the update work 100%?

Install fresh copy of the game.
Install update.
run gpw.
start n save
and what do I have to do with the save??

All the season data (car speeds, driver nationality etc) is in the gpw.exe.

After you save you need to patch it with http://boostnetwork.net/GPW_GPWEditor.php and then you load it into gpw.exe or gpwxp.exe.

Installed the editor. So I have to load the save file and than? I assume I need to import something innit?

There is a readme.html file inside the save patcher with instructions.

How to patch a .sav file:
Select the Patch Game option
Browse for the compiled statistics file (.cst)
Browse for the Grand Prix World saved game file (.sav)
Click the Patch Game button to patch the .sav file

so, firstly u mean gpw patch, not gpw editor....okay

I downloaded the 2006 update and the 2008, and cannot find the *.cst file. Are they included in the patches somewhere?

Here are the 2006 Season save patch files.

The .cst files for the 2008 season are in the "gpwpatch" folder where you install the 2008 season update.

In the file u gave the link to, there is: a gpw.exe, a redme.txt and the season patch...

what am I doing wrong?? WHERE R THE CST FILES?

(hopefully) 1 last question: what is the difference between the normal and the NT cst files? I av to patch them both?

You only need to patch with one after you start the game.

The NT means the sponsor ban races such as in Silverstone where a sponsor is replaced. People may not like (their children) to play the game with the tabacco sponsors.
